Ms. Jyoti Nayak ( President)
Ms. Jyoti, the Founder and President of HTWS, is an inspiring and committed leader working for the rights of the transgender community. She has played a pivotal role in leading the advocacy initiatives with varied stakeholders, sensitizing them towards the issues of the community.
Ms. Suraiah Nayak (Vice President )
Ms. Suraiah, the Vice President of HTWS, is a senior most member in the board with vast experience in community mobilization. Since 2016, Ms. Suraiah has been a motivating voice that has been effectively guiding the organizational and project activities.
Ms. Sunita Nayak (General Secretary)
Ms. Sunita, the General Secretary of HTWS, has been associated with the organization since its inception in 2016. She is actively engaged in community mobilization, awareness initiative and in resolving crisis faced by the community.
Ms. Zareena Nayak (Joint Secretary)
Ms. Zareena, the Joint Secretary of HTWS, has an excellent rapport with the community members and is skilled in providing psycho-social support to the community by means of counselling.
Ms. Sabera Nayak (Treasurer)
Ms. Sabera, the Treasurer of HTWS, joined the board in 2020. She is also a member of the Telangana Transgender Welfare Board. In addition to ensuring financial accountability, Ms. Sabera is actively engaged in outreach activities of the organization and in resolving the incidents of crisis faced by the community.
Ms. Kavitaamma ( Board Member)
Ms. Kavitaamma, the Executive Committee Member of HTWS, possesses exceptional outreach and advocacy skills. She also works as the Project Director of the Targeted Intervention – HIV/AIDS Prevention, Treatment and Support project and guides the implementation of the project activities. Ms. Kavitaamma also served on the Community Advisory Board for SAHAS programme in Alliance India.
Ms. Chandni Bakash (Board Member)
Ms. Chandni Bakash, the Executive Committee Member of HTWS, has been active in the organization since 2016 and was elected as the board member in 2024. She supports in the working of the Targeted Intervention HIV/AIDS project and with the capacity building initiatives of the CBO.
Ms. Pallavi Bakash (Board Member )
Ms. Pallavi, the Executive Committee Member of HTWS, joined the board in 2024. She has been actively associated with the advocacy and crisis management initiatives of the organization since 2016.
Ms. Simran Bakash ( Board Member )
Ms. Simran Bakash, the Executive Committee Member of HTWS, has excellent communication and counselling skills. She also often supports the community mobilization efforts in the field.
